2007 promotet der Schorndorfer Sänger/Songwriter/Gitarrist GERD RUBE seine fünfzehnte CD.
"This is me" enthält neue Eigenkompositionen im Bereich Acoustic- bis Modern-Rock, die
seiner Reibeisenstimme auf den Leib geschrieben sind. Seit 1993 tourt er regelmäßig in
den USA und hat sich auch dort eine ständig wachsende Fangemeinde erspielt. Auf seinen
CDs finden sich Aufnahmen mit US-Spitzenmusikern von der Garth Brooks' Band in Nashville/TN
oder der Miami Sound Machine. Gerd's Videoclip wurde über zwei Monate auf MTV ausgestrahlt.
"Er möchte die Musik nicht erneuern, sondern liebt sie so wie sie ist..." schrieb ein
Musikmagazin und traf damit den Nagel auf den Kopf. Gerd inspirierte sich durch seine
zahlreichen Live-Auftritte in seiner Heimat, in ganz Europa bis über New York, Californien
und hin zu seiner zweiten Heimat in Florida. All die bekannten Klassiker von "A" wie die
Allman Brothers bis "Z" wie Frank Zappa waren Teil seines umfangreichen Live-Repertoires.
Über die Jahre hinweg entwickelte er seinen ganz eigenen Stil mit einer Mischung aus den
Eagles, einem frühen Bryan Adams bis hin zu Bon Jovi während seine markante Stimme dem
Sound einen unverwechselbaren Stempel verleiht.
In 2007 singer/songwriter/guitarist GERD RUBE from Schorndorf/Germany is promoting his 15th
cd release. "This is me" contains new original songs to perfectly fit his rough voice in a
style from acoustic- to modern-rock. Continuously touring the US since 1993, Germany's best
kept secret has been builing a growing fanbase and has been recording with some big names in
the music-world like members of the Garth Brook's Band in Nashville/TN and members of the
Miami Sound Machine. His music-video "Happy Day" was played on MTV Europe for more than
two months. "He doesn't wanna renew the music, he like it the way it is", is what a german
magazine wrote, and it hit's the point. Gerd got his influences from playing live many stages
from all over his homeland in Europe to New York, California to his second home in the Florida
Keys. All the classics from "A" like Allman Brothers to "Z" like Frank Zappa have been part of
his huge live repertoire. Throuout the years, Gerd found his very own style in a mix of the
Eagles, an early Bryan Adams and even some grown Bon Jovi, while his unique voice makes it
easy to identify him in a very addictive sound.
